Olivia joined The Minnesota Star Tribune’s Strib Varsity desk as a sports reporter in October 2025.

She previously was a Formula 1 correspondent for NPR, Motorsport.com, The Drive and The Independent.

At Race Tech Magazine, she brought an environmental voice as a regular contributor to the industry's leading engineering and technical print publication. Her reporting has taken her from the streets of Monaco to the deserts of South America and everywhere in between.

Originally from Iowa, Olivia has a degree in Environmental Journalism from Western Washington University and attended the Columbia School of Journalism’s Columbia Publishing Course with a post-grad certificate obtained at Oxford University.

In 2022, she won the Society of Professional Journalists “Mark of Excellence” award for environmental coverage and podcasting. Previously, Olivia has worked for one of the “Big Five” international book publishers and held positions as a digital editor and social media coordinator.

Off track, you can find her reading lengthy novels, listening to Irish hip-hop, not using an Oxford comma and obsessing over a new interest (right now it’s hockey). She (occasionally) posts pit-lane scenes on her Instagram.
